Pambula Motorfest - Our History
The Pambula Motorfest started in 2012 when a group of friends decided that Pambula needed another car show, as it had been many years since there had been a car show held locally.
There were no expectations when the gates opened at that first show in July 2012, as there were no pre-entrants, and attendance was an unknown. By 7am that morning, having not seen a car at all, there was much relief when they started rolling in! There were enough entrants that we filled the Pambula Recreation Ground and had to move location to allow sufficient space for future shows!
The day was excellent and it gave Pambula and surrounding areas a much needed boost in trade!
So it was decided that this opportunity could not be passed and the event had to become annual. With that decision a committee was formed and the event Pambula Motorfest became incorporated and has gone from strength to strength raising money for the local community.
To date the Pambula Motorfest has donated $125,000 to the local community, and we don't plan to slow down any time soon with bushfire recovery and the local economy needing help we plan to make the 2020 event bigger than ever.
The 2013 event was moved to the Pambula Sporting Complex, Pambula Beach. This venue allowed the space that the motorfest needed to grow, and had the much needed amenities for the many spectators that the event attracts.
The 2016 event rounded out as another big success, but with limited resources and volunteers it was decided in 2017 to make Motorfest every second year to give our volunteers a bit of breathing space and to ensure we were on the off-year to Cooma Motorfest allowing both events to thrive!
OFF WE GO READY FOR 2020! See you there!
