PRESS RELEASE 23 April 2022
Pambula Motorfest 2022 Cancelled
Dear Pambula Motorfest Supporters
Due to many contributing factors, we have had to come to the difficult decision to cancel the 2022
Pambula Motorfest.
We have been advised by council, that grant funding is likely to be available within weeks and upgrade works to the sporting complex could likely
commence soon which will clash with our event date. The event would not be able to proceed with
construction works underway.
Add to that the problem we have had obtaining new committee members to help run the event we
are all just a bit overwhelmed and very disappointed. We are a group of only 4 volunteers who work
tirelessly to make this event happen.
We strive to supply the best value for money and a pleasant experience to our sponsors, vendors,
supporters and the local community. However, given the lack of support we have received with our
call out for help we feel we could not provide this in the current situation.
As you know the Pambula Motorfest has grown into a huge event and it is just impossible for such a
small group to continue to do all the work necessary to make this event happen. So, while the works
continue at the sports complex, which are much needed, we will regroup, attempt to obtain more committee members and volunteers and hopefully come back with a vengeance.
We will advise all our supporters as soon as we have more
information.
If for some reason (such as lack of committee members) the Pambula Motorfest committee feels it is
not possible to continue with the event in future, all funds held by the association will be dispersed
to a local charity as required by NSW Fair Trading in accordance with a dissolution of a not-for-profit association. All donations will be publicly announced.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of our efforts to raise
money for the local community whilst providing an event that is a one of a kind in this wonderful
community, we proudly call home.
We thank you for your highly valued continuing support, understanding and patience. We will be in
contact as soon as we have any further information.
Kindest regards
The Pambula Motorfest Committee

PRESS RELEASE 22 NOV 2021
Pambula Motorfest compelled to assist
As the Pambula Motorfest has not been able to run an event for 2020 or 2021 due to Covid restrictions, this has meant that the event had not been able to raise money for the many local groups and charities that they would normally support after each event.
In light of this the Pambula Motorfest committee held a meeting to consider how the event could support the local community despite not having an event in 2021. Motorfest President Jessica Porter said “This year we feel there is a particular urgency to support social housing in the Bega Valley, and knowing of the Social Justice Advocates current cause we felt compelled to assist”. The Pambula Motorfest has been able to make available some funds by reallocating part of a grant received in 2020. Jessica Porter said “We have been able to free up $10,000 to donate to the Social Justice Advocates cause, which we hope will put them a substantial step closer to their $100,000 goal by Christmas”.
Social Housing is a huge issue locally and a very important one for many, even more so coming into the holiday season. Social Justice Advocates had been relying on several events for funding this year, including Pambula Motorfest, that were unable to proceed due to Covid.
The Total Tools 2022 Pambula Motorfest and the Bendigo Bank Meet & Greet Community Cruise are very important events for the local community and raise funds for the local area, and “this would not be possible without our sponsors” said Jess, “We would like to thank each and every sponsor & the many local businesses that support the event, and we look forward to welcoming any new sponsors for 2022”.

PRESS RELEASE 07 JULY 2021
New Business Supports Community Event
The doors aren’t even open yet, but new local business Total Tools have already thrown their support behind the local community. Development is well underway in the Old Woolworths building in Merimbula and the store is expected to open in early September.
The Merimbula store will be the first Total Tools store on the NSW South Coast, and they feel it is important to be involved with the local community and local events.
Total Tools is the largest trade tool supplier in Australia, with over 90 stores nationwide, and have been passionately serving their customers for more than 30 years. It is hoped that when opened the new store will bring people from all over the shire to Merimbula and will be a great boost for the town.
Pambula Motofest President Jessica Porter says “We are really excited to welcome Total Tools as Naming Rights sponsors of the 2021 event, and we feel that they are a great fit with our event and values. We hope this relationship can continue for many years to come”.
The Pambula Motorfest event is run solely to benefit the community through donations back to local schools, groups and organisation’s in need. The Pambula Motorfest will be held on September 26th at the Pambula Sportsground.

Pambula Motorfest 2021 is going ahead!
The organisers of Pambula Motorfest are excited to announce that the 2021 Motorfest event is going ahead! We really want to bring some fun and excitement back to the Bega Valley after the 2020 bushfires, then Covid. The last event was held in September 2018 and had 5000+ spectators attend and over 300 vehicle entrants.
Pambula Motorfest president Jessica Porter says “We are very excited about being able to present the show again this year. It is one of the biggest events in the Bega Valley Shire and it raises much needed funds for the community – with everything going back to local charities and causes. Overall we have donated $125,000 back to the local community so far”.
The event will be held on Sunday the 26th of September 2021 and will include Flair Stunt Bikes, Rock Climbing Wall, Mower Racing, Slot Car Racing, Reptile Shows, Kids Zone, “Motorfeast” Food Fair, Rocker Cover Racing, and more chrome than you can imagine! “There are also some great new things that we have secured for 2021 which will be announced closer to the show, so be sure check out the Facebook page for updates” says Jess.
We are expecting a big turn out this year, with everyone chomping at the bit to get those pride and joy’s out an about. We expect 350-450 vehicle entrants this year, with entrants from as far south as Geelong and North to Queensland.
The top paddock will have the food fair, kid’s zone, Flair Stunt bikes, Swap Meet and Market stalls, while the bottom oval will be the main show and shine area with the massive area in the centre of the oval being dedicated to the vendors and sponsors.
The Pambula Motorfest is a great way to support the community and a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business.
